HEALTH PROGRAM ANALYST I – Office of Diversion and Reentry (Emergency Appointment) 1 day ago, Be among the first 25 applicants. Essential Job Functions Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of health-focused programs. Assists with the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of program policies, goals, and objectives. Assists with the development and preparation of grants and ensures compliance with grant requirements. Assists with the coordination, planning and development of budgets for programs; assists with the monitoring of established budgets. Evaluates contract activities related to compliance, service delivery, operations, and budgets for quality assurance. Gathers and analyzes information pertaining to the project or program including overall evaluation and prepares a variety of reports and correspondence related to the program. Assists in formulating and presenting recommendations to management for program modifications or corrective action based on program evaluations. Coordinates and participates in focus groups with clients regarding quality-of-care issues. Assists in the development and implementation of community action plans, and aides in the policy passage and implementation process. Represents or advocates for the needs and rights of clients at hearings or meetings with service providers as needed. Requirements Option I: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (Behavioral Sciences, Business Administration, Counseling, Healthcare Administration/Management, Leadership/Organization Development, Public Administration, Public Health, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or Social Work) plus two years of Management Analyst experience in mental health or public health program analysis. A Master’s Degree may substitute one year of required experience. Option II: Four years of experience in mental health or public health program analysis, with at least two years at the Management Analyst level. A valid California Class C Driver’s License or alternative transportation method. Physical Class II – Light (administrative duties, occasional lifting up to 10 lb). Assessment & Appointment Candidates who meet the requirements may be hired for an initial period of up to 90 days, after which performance is assessed. A passing assessment may lead to permanent appointment as a Health Program Analyst I. Application & Filing Information Applications are accepted only online.
