As a Systems Engineer Advisor you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Key Responsibilities Provide phone support to customers and resolve issues related to future and current releases of IMIS. Run vulnerability assessments (STIGs/SCAP) and add security controls to reduce the attack surface on operating systems and network equipment. Recommend and evaluate hardware, ensuring no unwanted features such as default wireless capabilities. Make configuration and installation changes to operating systems and commercial software, creating secure tools for deployment. Custom package creation and management for installation, removal, setup, and verification of delivered packages. Research CVEs and assemble documentation for OS patches and vulnerabilities. Build and maintain lab network environments; troubleshoot network issues; set up routing protocols on routers, switches, firewalls, and virtual switches. Assist with field network troubleshooting, providing procedures and support as needed. Develop and conduct complex system designs, modeling, simulation, and analysis throughout the systems life cycle. Oversee infrastructure installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of operating systems, applications, and management tools. Prepare and maintain engineering project documentation and process procedures. Stay current with rapidly changing technology, working with management to evolve processes. Potential team lead responsibilities and mentorship of less experienced professionals. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in a related IT field. 8+ years of related experience (additional experience may substitute for a degree). Deployment, operating systems, systems architecture, and systems engineering expertise. Experience managing GitLab repositories; FIPS 140‑2, Common Criteria, JSIG, STIG processes. Cisco ASA, switching, routing, and configuration knowledge. Unix/Linux, Oracle Solaris, LDAP integration experience. Security clearance: Secret (current and obtainable). Certification: Security+ CE or DoD 8140 equivalent. U.S. citizenship required. Location: Onsite – Bossier City, LA (10–25% travel). Benefits 401(k) with company match.
