Cafe Server

CAF SERVER JOB DESCRIPTION:

Abundant Life Church is searching for engaging, courteous cafe servers.

As a cafe server you should be committed to providing customers with excellent service.

A cafe server should be positive, friendly, knowledgeable, and polite.

As a cafe server you will:

~ greet customers with enthusiasm

~ answer their questions with informed recommendations

~ take orders and accept payments

~ prepare and serve beverages

~ maintain a clean and well-stocked work area and cafe area

~ continuously expand your knowledge of beverage quality controls,

~ preparation and presentation

CAFE SERVER RESPONSIBILITIES:

~ Welcoming customers, informing them about specials or new items, answering questions and accepting orders and payments in person and online

~ Grinding and blending coffee beans, brewing coffee and tea, and serving items to customers

~ Making both Hot and Cold beverages (smoothies,espresso).

~ Selling pastries

~ Selling merchandise

~ Operating a touchscreen cash register and doing opening and closing procedures

~ Restocking supplies and merchandise

~ Cleaning all work areas and cafe areas, emptying trash and sanitizing equipment and utensils

~ Work closely with the management team to help execute any new policies and procedures.

~ Adhering to all food and beverage safety regulations and quality control standards.

~ Working as part of a fun, high-energy team

~ Establish a return customer experience, giving us the opportunity to minister in our community

CAFE SERVER REQUIREMENTS:

~ High School diploma or equivalent

~ Experience in beverage preparation or customer service preferred

~ Willingness to go through initial and continuing training in beverage preparation

~ Listening and communication skills

~ Ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods

~ Availability to work around peak hours, including nights, early mornings and weekends

~ A polite, engaging personality

~ Commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence

~ Willingness to work as part of a high-energy, efficient team in a fast-paced environment
