This is a long-term contract opportunity with the possibility of hire. SUMMARY

Our client is an agile global aerospace and defense technology innovator, delivering end-to-end solutions that meet customers’ mission-critical needs. The company provides advanced defense and commercial technologies across air, land, sea, space, and cyber domains.

The Full-Stack Application Software Engineer will join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team working on large-scale enterprise application systems for Space Domain purposes using web technologies, distributed computation, as well as sophisticated, cloud technologies, frameworks, and cutting-edge domain analytics. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be part of software development and integration team focused on mission-unique software to be developed and integrated with existing and new cutting-edge capabilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES Perform the development and integration via industry best practices, including Agile methodologies for the government system. Provide mission application and framework development support. Participate in a development team that uses modern DevSecOps software practices and a technology-supported development infrastructure. Maintain and develop new capabilities to the deployed system, diagnose and resolve issues, and provide support to end-users as needed. The ideal candidate will have the technical talent and desire to continuously learn new skills and technologies. Provide on-the-job mentoring to junior engineers as needed.






REQUIREMENTS MUST have an active Top Secret SCI Security Clearance with consent to Poly. Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline and a minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience. OR a graduate degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience. Experience with Java, JEE object-oriented programming. Experience with the Vue.js framework. Experience with Microservices. Experience with containerization technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift. Experience with cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or GovCloud. Experience with Agile Software Development Process and Methodologies (SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban). Experience with supporting systems engineering efforts in system design, solution engineering, and software development. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to detail complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Must be a US Citizen and currently possess a Top Secret Security Clearance.











Preferred Additional Skills Experience with Spring Boot framework. Experience with C++, or Python programming languages. Experience with PostgreSQL or similar Relational Database Management System (RDBMS). Experience with Front-End web development, including JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, SCSS, or HTML. Experience with unit testing. Experience with integration and development tools, including AWS, Docker, Bitbucket, and Jenkins. Experience integrating, testing, and deploying software applications to operations. Knowledge of REST APIs.
