Job Purpose

Hosts ensure a world-class experience for WildPlay guests by providing seamless transitions during and between each stage of the guest experience. They provide service that exceeds the guest's expectations through engagement, observing needs, providing encouragement, and escalating issues to the Lead when necessary.

Hosts love to greet everyone they meet, provide Park information, promote experiences, and ensure everyone who visits a WildPlay Park leaves with a smile.

To excel as a Host, you should have an outgoing and confident personality and think on your feet. You listen and identify the needs of others. You provide encouragement and advice based on best practices.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Assisting with the guest check-in process, including greeting guests and providing direction in the Park
  • Enhancing the guest experience by identifying and promoting opportunities for guests to expand their adventure at WildPlay and beyond
  • Assisting guests with information regarding Park elements, products, pricing and Park facilities
  • Ensuring all guests enjoy safe, positive, enriching experiences.
  • Reporting incidents outside standard operating procedures to Park Management
  • Performing site maintenance, such as landscaping or grounds-keeping, and assisting with the cleanliness of the Park
  • Participating as a positive and self-driven member of the WildPlay team
  • Executes additional tasks from the Park management as needed
Work Schedule

This position works a flexible schedule of full or part-time seasonal work, according to the needs of the business. Their schedule can include working evenings, weekends and holidays.

Knowledge/Experience/Skills/Attributes

Knowledge
  • No academic or professional level of qualification is required
  • Knowledge in adventure recreation is a bonus (either as a participant or through previous employment experience).
Experience:
  • Proven experience in delivering excellent customer service (asset but not required)
Skills
  • Ability to consistently deliver high standards of work in outdoor, all-weather conditions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good judgment
