In this vital role, the individual will be responsible for carrying out a variety of maintenance and repair tasks on equipment, specifically as they relate to the skilled trades. The selected candidate will not only focus on repairing machinery and mechanical equipment but will also engage in essential electrician duties, showcasing a diverse skill set. The position necessitates a well-rounded background in training and hands‑on experience to tackle a broad spectrum of maintenance challenges effectively. We are looking for someone who is detail‑oriented, possesses problem‑solving abilities, and is committed to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in all tasks undertaken.Salary$50.32/ hr. plus employer paid health benefits and pensionKey ResponsibilitiesExamine machines and mechanical equipment to diagnose source of troubleDismantle or partly dismantle machines and perform repairsReplace broken or defective partsPrepare written specifications for major repairsReassemble machines and make all necessary adjustment for operationPerform electrician duties to include but not limited to the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energyInstall or repair a variety of circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipmentLocate and diagnose trouble in the electrical system or equipmentPerforms other related duties as assignedEssential SkillsThorough knowledge of theory and methods, materials, tools, equipment and systems used in the tradeThorough knowledge of applicable state and federal codes and regulations pertaining to the tradeMust be able to read and understand blueprints as appropriate to tradeAble to work standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring and electrical equipmentUse a variety of electrician's hand tools, and measuring and testing instrumentsAdaptable and flexible in work situationsPrioritizes tasks to ensure completion in a timely mannerPRACTICES WORKPLACE SAFETY in the use of tools, equipment, and supplies - Including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)High school diploma or equivalent3+ years’ experience as a maintenance mechanic/electricianExperience must be in an industrial or commercial facilities maintenance environmentMUST have a Top Secret ClearanceMUST have SCI eligibilityValid driver’s license compliant with REAL ID Act or willing and able to obtain onePass a pre‑employment drug screening and background checkRegular, dependable attendanceU. S. citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installationsPreferred QualificationsTS/SCI clearanceCertificationsFormal apprenticeshipPhysical RequirementsMust be able to lift up to 50lbs unassistedUse of hands, reaching with hands and arms, talking, and walkingProlonged periods of sitting, bending, squatting, standing, twisting, or stoopingClimbing ladders and entering confined spacesMay spend long hours in awkward positions which can cause physical discomfort and strainMay stand for long periods and frequently work on ladders and scaffoldsWork both indoors and outdoors in various temperatures (some extreme) and weather conditions.* Physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
