Responsibilities Work at the reception desk, answer phones, greet and communicate with patients and providers. Schedule, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments. Check in patients and properly document registration. Verify insurance and verify patient demographics. File and retrieve medical records/files. Copy and fax duties. Collect co‑pays and cash from patients, obtain authorization on credit cards. Enter charges, payments, and balance the day in the computer. Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct philosophy and Mission and Value Statement. Perform other duties as required. Read, understand, and adhere to all Physician Services policies and procedures. Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct and Mission and Value Statement. Practice certified as Patient‑Center Medical Home includes these additional job duties: Coordinate continuity of patient care with external healthcare organizations and facilities and referrals from the primary care provider to a specialty care provider. Participate on a team for data collection, health outcomes reporting, audits and programmatic evaluation related to Patient‑Centered Medical Home. Qualifications Less than one year of experience is required; one to three years of experience is preferred.
