We're looking for a system administrator to help us provide support to IT systems for the warfighter.

As a system administrator on our team, you'll provide system and network administration to Unclassified, Classified, and SCI systems. You'll ensure personnel with privileged access to SCI systems, whether system or network administration-based, shall have and maintain the appropriate certification corresponding to the highest level of their functions as identified in DoD guidance. You'll help clients overcome tough challenges through monitoring and performance management. Your knowledge will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network. Your communication skills will come in handy as you turn metrics into information and articulate their meaning.

This is an opportunity to gain experience in areas such as virtualization, Linux, and macOS. We focus on growing as a team, so we'll share techniques, work through challenges, and develop new methodologies together. You Have:

2+ years of experience with IT systems administration, including installing, troubleshooting, and debugging computer systems
Experience with VMware products, including vSphere, vCenter, and vSAN and Veeam
Experience with Linux, including RHEL, Windows, directory services, and PKI
Experience with Red Hat Ansible and Satellite, and scripting, including BASH or Python
Experience with the Linux command line
Knowledge of system engineering processes, procedures, and best practices
Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
HS diploma or GED
Security + Certification
Ability to obtain Linux+ Certification within 3 months of start date

Nice If You Have:

Experience with database management, DogTag PKI, or Distributed File Systems
Knowledge of Web markup, including HTML, HTML5, AngularJS, and CSS, including JavaScript language
Knowledge of PKI Infrastructure
Ability to work in all areas of system administration from client to server
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Technology
VMware Certified Professional (VCP) Certification
RHCSA Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,300.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
