Anesthesiologist Assistant

Working under the direction of a Staff Anesthesiologist, administers anesthesia to patients rendering them insensitive to pain during surgery. Monitors the patient's physical reaction to the anesthetic and informs the physician of any adverse condition. Provides post-anesthesia recovery care to the patient for as long as necessary, keeping anesthesiologist informed as to the patient's progress.+ Displays title of Anesthesiology Assistant as a means of identifying the individual's authority to practice.+ Other duties as assigned.**Education:**+ A baccalaureate or higher degree from an institution of higher learning accredited by an organization recognized by the board of regents.+ Completion of an anesthesiologist assistant training program that has been accredited by the commission on accreditation of allied health education programs, or equivalent.**Certifications:**+ Certification by the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (AA).+ Current, valid Anesthesiologist Assistant (AA) license in the state of Florida.
