Adjunct Faculty – Pharmaceutical Business and Administrative Sciences The School of Pharmacy - Boston seeks an adjunct faculty member to deliver high quality learning experiences and education for students in the Pharmaceutical Business and Administrative Sciences department. Deliver didactic instruction via multiple formats (in-person, online, or in a ‘blended’ format) in the Pharmaceutical Business and Administrative Sciences program. Provide students with an approved syllabus that includes course objectives and learning outcomes, teaching methodology, attendance policies in line with those of the School, texts and readings, assignments and deliverables, timelines and evaluation criteria. Provide engaging assignments that demonstrate the real‑world applications of concepts covered. Uses the University’s learning management system to post syllabus, assignments and other materials and to communicate with students. Advises and assists students through office hours or scheduled appointments, by videoconference, phone or email, and through other University-approved mechanisms. Provides service including student mentoring, ongoing course development, and assessment. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor. Required Advanced degree (PhD, JD, MPH, or equivalent) with appropriate coursework in the subject areas described above and a minimum of five years’ experience or a minimum of ten years of relevant experience. A minimum of one (1) year of teaching experience in the subject areas taught or demonstrate prior training in instructional methodology and teaching skills from a formal teacher educational program or any comparable training program or formal in‑house training program. Proficient skills and experience in Microsoft Office computer software systems that include word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations as well as a willingness to learn and use the Blackboard LMS. Commitment to undergraduate, graduate and/or professional education and student success. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Must be able to work independently and effectively interact with a wide array of parties at all levels (students, faculty, administration/staff, alumni, and external constituents, including healthcare industry professionals). Compensation The pay range associated with this posting reflects the amount the University reasonably expects to pay for this role at this time. Salary offers are determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications as well as internal equity, market data and pay in comparison to similarly situated employees doing comparable work.
