Trusted.The Undersea Technology Analysis Portfolio (UTAP), within the Sea, Land, & Air Analysis Group in SPA, conducts rigorous and objective analyses to enable the Navy and other DoD organizations to make decisions, plans, and strategies to deliver emerging undersea technologies and warfighting capabilities. We support clients across the undersea and naval special warfare enterprises, including those within resourcing and requirements (OPNAV N97), acquisition (program offices for undersea technologies and naval special warfare), and science and technology (Office of Naval Research, DARPA) Our enduring capabilities include:Identifying capability gaps, developing requirements, and generating solutionsAssessing the operational utility and technical feasibility of new technologiesExecution of acquisition and technology development programs, including developing plans and roadmaps to mature, deliver, and sustain new technologiesAnalysis of vulnerabilities and threats to undersea platforms and systemsQuantitative analysis and modeling of undersea forces and their missionsSPA has a near term need for a Model-Based Systems Engineer for upcoming support to the Program Executive Office (PEO) for Unmanned and Small Combatants (USC), located at the Washington Navy Yard, DC. PEO USC, through affiliated program offices, designs, procures, and builds the Navy's unmanned surface and undersea systems delivering the capabilities needed to support a range of fleet operations in the at the best cost-efficient value. The portfolio includes a wide range of UxVs, including Unmanned Surface Vehicles/Vessels (USVs) and Unmanned Undersea Vehicles/Vessels (UUVs). UxVs and unmmaned systems (UxSs) are expanding to multiple ship classes within the U.S. Navy fleet. This contract will support the design, engineering and implementation of UxSs across the U.S. Navy portfolio.ResponsibilitiesThis Model Based Systems Engineer will develop models, architectural products, and digital artifacts for Unmanned Systems (UxSs) within PMS 406's portfolio. Other tasks include:Applying modeling to support a system's or SoS' requirements, design, analysis, verification, and validation activities throughout the acquisition lifecycle phasesProviding support to ensure systems are interoperableProducing reports to support the management of MBSE/digital environment activities and decision makingManaging/coordinating information and resources to meet digital thread-related objectivesImplementing a model-based culture, leveraging capabilities of the digital enterprise environment infrastructure of the organizationUtilizing model data support to enable the creation of a digital thread across other engineering disciplines (e.g., cyber and configuration management)Washington, D.C. Pay Range: 140-175k.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:At least 10 years of professional experience performing Model-Based Systems EngineeringTop Secret Security ClearanceMaster's Degree in engineering, operations research, or other sciences where the utilization of advanced math skills is required (e.g. business, mathematics, statistics, and probability)Desired Qualifications:15 or more years of professional experienceFamiliarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering principlesKnowledge of the Systems Modeling Language (SysML) or Unified Modeling Language (UML)Experience with cross-platform collaborative MBSE/digital environments or equivalent (e.g., MagicDraw/Cameo Systems Modeler, Sparx System Enterprise Architect, Rational Rhapsody, System Architect, etc.), which provide tools to design, track, visualize, and analyze all aspects of systems in standard-compliant models and diagrams.Knowledge of the Department of Defense Architecture Framework/Unified Architecture Framework (DoDAF/UAF) #J-18808-Ljbffr
