PAY: $65-70/hour W2. Our company offers our consultants a suite of benefits after a qualification period including health, vision, dental, life and disability insurance. This is a fully onsite role in Fort Meade, MD. An active TS/SCI with Polygraph, conducted in the past 5 years, is required for this role. Due to the national security requirements of this role, only US Citizens can be considered for this position. Position Overview This entry-level role focuses on developing and maintaining Python-based applications in a secure environment. The engineer will work under the guidance of senior developers and contribute to software solutions that meet government requirements. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain Python scripts and applications to support mission requirements. Assist in debugging, testing, and documenting software components. Collaborate with senior engineers and analysts to implement software solutions. Participate in code reviews and follow secure coding practices. Support integration and deployment of software in classified environments. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. 0–2 years of professional experience in Java or Python software development. More is welcome. Relevant certifications (e.g., Python Institute, CompTIA Security+) are a plus. Proficiency in Python or Java programming. Understanding of software development lifecycle and version control (e.g., Git). Basic knowledge of secure coding principles and federal IT standards.
