summary Employbridge is now hiring a Carbon Composite Trim Technician in Auburn Hills, MI 7a-3:30p $16-$17/hr Site description: Global product design, development, and manufacturing company supplying composite engine, automotive and marine components(intake manifolds, valve covers, oil pans, fuel modules, aero components,andaccessories.) Job Summary: Learn how to fixture, program and cut/trim carbon fiber parts and foam to facilitate the layup of carbon composite parts to meet strict quality and process standards. Duties/Essential Job Functions: Manage daily tasks per direction of lead Cut, trim or machine composites and foam for low volume production and prototypes Perform typical composite duties such as trimming, fitting, cutting, drilling, sanding composite parts to meet drawing specifications Perform light duty machine operations utilizing drill press, band saw, chop saw, cnc router and hand power tools Ensure area and equipment is maintained in a clean organized work environment Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy All other duties as assigned required-skills: Work Environment/Physical Demands: Machining / trimming / manufacturing work environment Able to meet maximum recommended weight limit (RWL) lift defined by National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) of 50 pounds Follow PPE requirements such as wearing steel toed shoes and safety glasses Travel: May require some infrequent domestic travel Required education and experience: - High School Diploma/High School Equivalency (GED) or higher - Strong communications skill and Microsoft Office proficiency Preferred education and experience: - Experience with cnc routers, hand power tools, chop saw, and wet saw is preferred - Possesses attention to detail required-experience: Hands Tools
