Location: Barcelona Office, hybrid About the Role We are seeking a Head of Data Science & Analytics to lead and elevate our data function at Heetch. This role blends technical expertise with strategic influence, ensuring that data is at the heart of every product and business decision. You will oversee a high‑performing team of data scientists and product analysts, focusing on maximising impact, driving experimentation, and fostering continuous growth. You will empower and upskill existing talent, helping them expand their capabilities and ownership. What You’ll Do Leadership & Team Development Mentor, coach, and develop data scientists and analysts to reach their full potential Create growth opportunities within the team, ensuring they take on new challenges and expand their expertise Foster a culture of analytical excellence, curiosity, and ownership Data Strategy & Execution Define and drive the data science & analytics roadmap, aligning with business and product priorities Balance predictive modelling, experimentation, and deep analytics to unlock strategic opportunities Ensure best practices in data governance, quality, and scalability Experimentation & Decision Science Scale A/B testing and causal inference frameworks to support data‑driven product iteration Develop methodologies to measure impact and optimise key metrics Partner with PMs, engineers, and leadership to ensure data is a central part of decision‑making Product & Business Impact Leverage data storytelling and advanced analytics to influence strategic decisions Bridge data science and product analytics, ensuring teams have the right tools and insights to move fast Advocate for a data‑driven culture, helping teams translate insights into action Challenges You’ll Face Balancing technical depth with strategic priorities Building and maintaining alignment across diverse stakeholders Navigating the competitive landscape of the mobility industry Managing priorities while ensuring excellent communication within your team and with stakeholders during transformation About You 10+ years of experience in Data Science, Analytics or a related field, with 3+ years of leadership experience Proven ability to recruit, develop and mentor high‑performing teams Deep expertise in Python, SQL, and statistical modelling, with experience in production‑grade data science Strong background in experimentation, A/B testing, and causal inference Ability to translate complex data insights into business actions ✨ Bonus Points: Experience in mobility, marketplace, or consumer tech industries Familiarity with ML in production and real‑time analytics Hands‑on experience with modern data platforms (BigQuery, Dataform, Vertex, Amplitude, etc.) What We Value Transparency: Foster open communication and a culture of honesty.
