The Opportunity: Reliability Engineer, Rotating Equipment


In the role of Reliability Engineer with a focus on Rotating Equipment, this individual will play a pivotal role in optimizing equipment lifespan, enhancing plant profitability, and ensuring safe, efficient operations. This position is an opportunity to lead reliability efforts, tackle complex equipment challenges, and directly contribute to the company’s success. Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading reliability initiatives in designated areas by providing expert guidance on equipment design, operation, and maintenance.
  • Developing and maintaining Preventive and Predictive Maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
  • Conducting Root Cause Analyses (RCA) and following through on recommendations to prevent future failures.
  • Applying advanced reliability tools to analyze data, prioritize issues, and recommend reliability improvements.
  • Advising on equipment specifications and participating in capital design projects to ensure long-term reliability.
  • Performing life-cycle cost analyses, evaluating spare parts strategies, and continuously enhancing reliability processes.


Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and hands-on experience with rotating and fixed equipment in a chemical or industrial setting.
  • Expertise in reliability tools, root cause analysis, and a proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • A proven track record in safety practices with a commitment to maintaining a safe, compliant work environment.
  • Flexibility for rotating shifts and availability for overtime as needed.
