We are looking for a Engineering Lab Tech to support our team at our corporate location in Cincinnati, Ohio.

SUMMARY:

LSI is looking for and energetic and outgoing individual to join our Engineering team as an Engineering Laboratory Technician. Within this role, the successful candidate will work within an accredited laboratory environment performing safety, electrical, thermal, and photometric product performance and compliance testing in support of new product development.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Represents LSI Industries in the most positive manner with prospective, former, and current employees, clients, suppliers and the community we serve
  • Interacts professionally and effectively with a diverse group of employees and customers
  • Learns and practices standard operating procedures
  • Maintains prompt and regular attendance based on the work hours established by the manager
  • Setting up, performing, and recording product safety compliance testing, i.e., heat tests, electrical tests and rain tests. In addition, understanding portions of UL and IEC compliance procedures to facilitate testing.
  • Setting up, performing, and recording product performance testing, i.e., photometry tests, environmental tests, electrical characteristics tests and electrical surge tests. In addition, understanding portions of IES, ANSI, and other procedures to facilitate testing.
  • Conceiving and fabricating basic test set-ups for products.
  • Maintaining an organized environment for lab work
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
