OverviewJoin to apply for the Program Director role at Healogics, LLC. Healogics is the largest provider of advanced wound care services in the United States, treating more than 300,000 chronic wound patients annually across over 600 sites. With an aging society, rising obesity and diabetes, and more surgical procedures, the number of patients with non-healing wounds is increasing. The company aims to deliver differentiated, quality outcomes through outpatient clinic partnerships.All Healogics employees must perform their job responsibilities according to Healogics policies, hospital policies, accrediting bodies, federal and state regulations, and CMS guidelines, as applicable.ResponsibilitiesManages the Center’s Operations (20%)Oversees day-to-day management of outpatient clinic(s) and other wound continuum programs, as applicable.Continuously assesses clinic flows, processes and procedures; identifies improvement opportunities and implements best practices to improve outcomes.Ensures availability of adequate resources, supplies, equipment, and services in collaboration with hospital and company personnel.Facilitates effective communication throughout the program and directs the work of center staff.Collaborates with other health care providers and Medical Director regarding clinic and patient needs.Manages direct reports in partnership with HR, including interviewing, hiring, coaching, performance expectations, and performance reviews. (5%)Performs Financial Management (10%)Manages and coordinates all aspects of the revenue cycle for Healogics and the hospital partner, as appropriate.Keeps current with reimbursement changes and educates physicians and staff as needed.Reviews key financial reports, identifies trends, and develops plans to ensure fiscal responsibility.Tracks ancillary revenues and manages costs through appropriate utilization of labor and supplies.Works with Healogics support team to complete financial reviews and presents results to hospital leadership.Manages Community Education/Marketing functions (40%)Collaborates with hospital and Healogics marketing to establish strategic marketing plans; coordinates activities to increase patient referrals.Works with hospital physician liaison to identify target referral sources and build relationships to increase referrals.Maintains and updates the list of Physician Practices within a given radius; visits practices to raise awareness of the Wound Care Center program using educational materials; documents interactions in the CRM system.Regularly communicates with hospital executives regarding goals, targets, and referral development information.Manages Quality/Performance Improvement functions (10%)Implements and manages a continuous Wound Care Center Performance Improvement Program aligned with the hospital’s PIP.Participates in hospital committees; ensures documentation in patient records and outcomes database.Monitors patient, referring physician, and customer satisfaction; ensures compliance requirements and promotes escalation of concerns as appropriate.Manages Relationships (15%)Maintains strong relationships with hospital clients; aligns program goals with hospital objectives while remaining compliant with Healogics standards.Develops relationships with panel physicians, clinical and support staff; promotes excellent customer service across departments.Engages with hospital leadership regularly and participates in management meetings.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nursing or related field preferred with 1 year of marketing/community education experience in healthcare or clinical operations experience; OR Associate’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience; OR High School Diploma with 4+ years of relevant experience. Management experience preferred.Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory/accrediting requirements for healthcare organizations.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including group presentation abilities.Strong analytical and quantitative skills; strong customer service and follow-up skills.Leadership, teaching, relationship-building, and team-building skills; ability to travel overnight.Required Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAbility to work with Healogics and hospital management; budget and strategic planning skills.Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; strong organizational and time-management abilities.Physical DemandsStationary position for extended periods; viewing computer screens; keyboarding for long durations.Ability to move about, read, communicate, write; lift/move items up to 20 pounds; push/pull; bend/stoop; reach and grasp.Travel by car or plane; color perception.Work EnvironmentNormal office and indoor environment; patient care environment.Exposure to hazards (bloodborne pathogens, chemicals, flammable materials), mechanical equipment, and proximity to moving objects.The salary for this position generally ranges between $80,750.00 - $109,250.00 annually. This range is an estimate based on qualifications, geography, and other factors permitted by law.
