Title: Power BI Developer Location: Atlanta, GA (Onsite) Job Type: Contract Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Developer to join our team in Atlanta, GA (onsite). The ideal candidate will design, develop, and deliver insightful Power BI dashboards and reports that support data‑driven decision‑making across the organization. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and publish interactive Power BI dashboards and reports using DAX , Power Query (M), and advanced visualization techniques. Collaborate with data engineering teams to design data models (Star/Snowflake schema, fact/dimension tables). Build and optimize datasets in Power BI Service, managing refresh schedules, gateways, and workspace settings. Translate business requirements into analytical solutions and actionable insights. Implement Row-Level Security (RLS), role‑based access, and governance standards. Integrate Power BI with Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Databricks, and SQL‑based sources. Conduct performance tuning, data validation, and usability testing. Partner with stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, and standardized reporting templates. Automate recurring reports and maintain documentation for datasets and dashboards. Required Skills Strong proficiency with Power BI Desktop , Power BI Service , DAX , and Power Query (M). Advanced SQL skills for data extraction and transformation (SQL Server, Azure SQL, etc.). Hands‑on experience with data modeling , ETL , and data validation. Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts (Star/Snowflake Schema, Fact/Dimension design). Experience connecting Power BI to Azure , Databricks , Excel , and API data sources.
