As a key provider, you'll support a busy emergency department with an average of 54 patients daily, working alongside a skilled team that includes full-time physicians and midlevel providers. Your expertise will help ensure seamless patient care, manage emergency situations, and collaborate with hospital staff on critical cases. Required Skills: Board Certified in Emergency MedicineValid medical license for MichiganProven experience in emergency medicine or fast-paced hospital environmentsAbility to supervise midlevel providers and respond effectively to house codesProficiency in emergency procedures, airway management, and trauma supportFamiliarity with Cerner EHR system preferredStrong communication and decision-making skillsAbility to interpret EKGs and collaborate with specialistsNice to Have Skills: Experience with trauma protocols and Level 4 trauma designationKnowledge of hospital transfer protocols and referral proceduresCertifications in ACLS, ATLS, and BLSExperience providing coverage in rural or community hospital settingsAbility to coordinate with EMS teams and oversee paramedic activitiesPreferred Education and Experience: Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institutionMinimum of 2 years of emergency medicine or related hospital experienceBoard certification in Emergency MedicineOther Requirements: Availability to start on 03/01/2026 and provide ongoing coverage into 2026Travel reimbursement and licensure support as applicableAbility to clock in/out using DocTime for accurate time trackingCommitment to compliance with hospital protocols and policiesWillingness to participate in orientation and training sessionsThis role offers a competitive hourly rate of $312.00, with enhanced pay on holidays and other premium hours.
