  • Takes precise measurements for cutting or shaping.
  • Selects appropriate machine and settings for a given task.
  • Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment.

An Inside Manual Machinist fabricates machine components such as shafts, rudder stockers, stern tubes, etc.

The requirements for the position are as follows:

Must have at least 1 year of manual experience.

Must be able to operate manual mills, lathe, and drill presses.

Able to use measuring tools (dial calipers and micrometers).

Able to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and work instructions.
