*Position Summary:*The Press Maintenance Technician will apply knowledge and expertise in the performance of scheduled and unscheduled machine setup, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance service. The Press Maintenance Technician will participate with advanced troubleshooting activities and continuous improvement initiatives by providing appropriate technical knowledge to recommend and implement improvements and corrective actions. Various technologies will be employed including stamping presses.

*Position Responsibilities: ** Perform troubleshooting activities, implement corrective actions, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure capability for stamping presses;* Utilize advanced technical skills to install, maintain and repair equipment which may include, but are not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems;* Respond to work orders and assure timely resolution of requests;* Inspect and maintain existing equipment to ensure production of quality products which comply with company and customer standards and specifications;* Monitor inventory of items required to perform necessary duties, and submit procurement requests as required;* Maintain a clean and safe work environment;* Comply with standardized work instructions, suggest improvements as appropriate;* Cooperate with internal and external certification audits and customer audits, supporting site initiatives towards achieving and maintaining customer awards as well as quality and environmental certifications (IATF, TS, ISO);* Assure all safety devices are properly in place and utilized, Lockout/Tagout procedures are adhered to, PPE is worn correctly at all times, and reporting of any near-misses, injuries, or accidents occurs immediately;

*Minimum Requirements: ** Ability to read and interpret prints;* Ability to obtain Hilo and crane certifications;* Ability to work at heights using manlifts and ladders, as well as performance of roof work;* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills* Basic electrical (DC and AC voltage), welding (Arc, MIG, TIG, and spot), and plumbing knowledge* Desire to work in a team-based, lean-manufacturing environment;* Willingness to travel for training, and as other business needs may dictate;* Ability and willingness to work any shift, as well as overtime, as required to meet business requirements;* Ability to provide own basic tools* High School diploma or GED* Advanced technical training in electrical, Siemens controls, transfer press, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and PLCs* Minimum of 2 years of experience in a production stamping facility working with presses and heavy dies* 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment

*Preferred Requirements:** 8 years of documented related experience and/or completion of apprenticeship program.* Department of Labor (DOL) issued Journeyman’s card (Industrial Maintenance Technician or Machine Repair classifications) strongly preferred.
