Cranbrook Athletics is seeking an experienced, driven, and student-centered leader to serve as the Head Varsity Boys Lacrosse Coach. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead one of Michigan's most respected and successful high school lacrosse programs, while contributing to a tradition built on excellence, discipline, and character. With a proud history of 11 state championships, Cranbrook's Boys Lacrosse program is a cornerstone of an athletic department that has earned more than 100 state titles across seven sports. The program enjoys strong community support, high expectations, and a culture of achievement both on and off the field. The team trains and competes on Del Walden Field at the Thompson Oval, one of the most iconic high school athletic fields in the country-an ideal setting to run a first-class program and mentor student-athletes. The ideal candidate will be: A proven leader with experience coaching lacrosse at the high school, collegiate, or club level. Passionate about developing student-athletes of character, emphasizing academics, discipline, and teamwork. Committed to fostering a positive, competitive culture that aligns with the values of Cranbrook Athletics. This position offers the opportunity to shape young men through sport while building upon a legacy of excellence. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Lead all aspects of the Boys Lacrosse program, including varsity, JV, and developmental pathways. Plan and execute high-level practices and competitive strategies throughout the season. Build and mentor a coaching staff that supports program goals and player development. Organize off‑season training, strength and conditioning, and skill development opportunities. Serve as a positive role model and mentor for student‑athletes on and off the field. Foster strong communication with players, families, faculty, and the broader Cranbrook community. Requirements: Minimum of three years of successful coaching experience at the high school, collegiate, or elite club level. Proven ability to build competitive teams and develop players for the next level. Deep understanding of the game, with a demonstrated commitment to fundamentals, teamwork, and character. Experience with the college recruitment process is a plus. Strong ties to successful club lacrosse programs is highly desirable.
