Senior Airborne Platform Software EngineerWe will be accepting applications through October 20, 2025 or until filled.As a Gogo Senior Airborne Platform Software Engineer you will be responsible for designing, developing and testing production quality software for Gogo airborne products on a Linux platform. You will develop new features, enhance existing software components, and test feature functionality on both existing products and our Next Generation 5G Air to Ground solution. You will be part of an experienced development team that integrates closely with other teams across the company.How will you make a difference?Design and develop software features for new products or extend design of existing products, including selection and integration of third-party technologies, particularly open sourceCreate high and low-level design documentationConduct design reviews and participate in code inspectionsAssist in development of automated unit testsProvide estimates for design and feature developmentTrack project stories/tasks, provide status, and ensure stories/tasks are completed on scheduleContinually improve design, development, and test processesMay participate in establishing and maintaining software build environment and source code repository for assigned projectsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience4-7 years of software development experience, preferably in a Linux or embedded systems environmentUnderstanding of Linux networking including routing, iptables, DHCP, and DNSRequired Skills, Experience And TalentsStrong application development skills in Linux environments utilizing Python and/or Linux scripting languages, C/C++, and possibly GoExperience as a Software Engineer developing software and utilizing open source packages in data communications and/or telecommunications systemsSkilled in Jenkins automation build and test environmentRelevant software configuration management and tools skills using GitKnowledge of Linux container concepts, especially Docker relatedPreferred Skills, Experience And TalentsExperience with 802.11ac wireless networkingUnderstanding of traffic shaping and QoSHas worked with the Agile software development methodology and SAFe frameworkAvionics and ARINC protocols knowledgeWorking knowledge of the DO-178C certification processSatellite communication experienceBase Pay112,000.00 - 140,000.00 USD AnnualTarget Annual Short-Term IncentiveBonus Plan at 10% (% of Annualized Base Pay)Eligible For Incentive Stock ProgramYesBenefitsGogo offers competitive benefits including medical, dental and vision coverage with plans that can fit each employee’s needs.
