Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role located in Deerfield Beach, FL, for a Swimming Pool Designer & Engineering Coordinator. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented swimming pool drafter with advanced expertise in CAD software and a strong working knowledge of the Florida Building Code and applicable construction regulations. The ideal candidate will produce precise technical drawings for custom residential and commercial swimming pool projects, ensuring designs are both visually appealing and structurally sound while meeting all local compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for custom pool designs including layouts, structural, plumbing, and equipment schematics. Interpret and apply the Florida Building Code and relevant local construction guidelines to all drafting work. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and construction teams to ensure designs are buildable, safe, and cost-effective. Prepare and submit permit‑ready plan sets, ensuring all required documentation and technical specifications are included. Revise drawings based on client feedback, engineering input, or permitting authority comments. Conduct site plan reviews and incorporate topographical and zoning information into final plans. Maintain accurate version control and documentation of all drawings and related project data. Experience Minimum 3 years of experience in pool drafting or related architectural drafting. Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent CAD software. In‑depth knowledge of the Florida Building Code, with specific emphasis on swimming pool construction and safety standards. Strong understanding of structural, mechanical, and hydraulic design principles as they relate to swimming pools. Experience producing permit‑ready drawing sets for Florida municipalities. Excellent attention to detail, spatial awareness, and visual communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Fluent in English. Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus. Preferred Qualifications Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering Technology, or a related field. Prior experience with pool design software (e.g., Pool Studio, Structure Studios). Knowledge of Florida‑specific permitting platforms (e.g., ePlan, Accela). Familiarity with landscape and hardscape integration into pool design.
