The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing direct nursing care and administering medications and treatments within their scope of practice to residents in their place of residence. As a representative of the Assisted Living Department and the organization, the LPN performs essential functions in a professional manner with a positive attitude. The LPN is expected to be aware of and support the mission, vision, resident Bill of Rights, policies, and procedures of the organization.

*Key Responsibilities:* * Provide direct nursing care to residents, following established protocols and care plans. * Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. * Monitor residents' health, noting any changes in condition and reporting to the appropriate healthcare personnel. * Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided, resident interactions, and observations. * Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other members of the healthcare team. * Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures. * Participate in the training and orientation of new staff members. * Act as a leader and resource for other staff, demonstrating professional behavior and positive attitude. * Assist in developing and implementing individualized care plans for residents. * Respond to emergency situations promptly and appropriately.

*Qualifications:* * Current New York State Licensure to practice as an LPN. * CPR certification. * Strong knowledge of basic nursing care techniques. * Computer literacy and the ability to effectively train on new patient care systems. * Ability to relate information concerning a resident’s condition clearly and accurately. * Capability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant. * Willingness to learn new methods and principles and incorporate them into existing nursing practices. * Strong leadership skills and ability to work well with others. * Patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a cheerful disposition.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $34.71 per hour
