Start your Jacobs career with a company that inspires and empowers you to deliver your best work so you can evolve, grow and succeed today and into tomorrow.Our team is experiencing exciting growth within our established practice therefore we have a need for an experienced Senior Civil and Roadway Designer to support general site civil and transportation projects in the Northwest.In this role youll have the opportunity to execute 3D modeling of surfaces, roadways, and pipelines as well as execute development of detailed construction drawings for civil projects. Using your experience youll collaborate and coordinate with multiple design disciplines throughout the design process and have the opportunity to mentor civil technicians with less experience.Heres what youll need :A CAD Technical Degree or equivalent AA degree At least 20 years design/drafting and 3D modeling experience on civil projects Experience with MicroStation, InRoads, OpenRoads, and/or AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the proficient use of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.) Ability to assist in managing department workload needs and staffing requests. Planning and organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure on multiple project deadlines. Demonstrated ability to see a project through to completion Excellent attention to detail of complex civil design componentsIdeally, youll also have: Experience with 3D surface modeling and/or roadway modeling is preferred Experience with drawing management software, Bentley ProjectWise, is preferred Ability to train and develop skills in both MicroStation and AutoCAD software platforms is preferred Experience in managing staff and workloads is preferredAt Jacobs, were challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the worlds most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.
