Principal Product Marketing Manager, Platform Narrative
7 days ago
As a Principal Product Marketing Manager on the Customer Growth team, you’ll define how Intuit brings its platform innovation and QuickBooks ecosystem to market. You’ll craft compelling narratives that connect customer needs to product magic, driving growth through bold, insight-driven marketing. Partnering across Product, Brand, Research, and GTM, you’ll shape how millions of customers experience the value of Intuit’s platform — and help write the next chapter of our transformation story. At Intuit, our mission is to power prosperity around the world. We build intuitive web, mobile, and cloud solutions that give people and businesses more money, more time, and more confidence. Intuit’s Global Business Solutions Group (GBSG) delivers solutions that help businesses thrive — from finding customers to managing invoices, payroll, accounting, payments, and lending. As part of the U.S. Marketing organization for QuickBooks, the newly formed Customer Growth team is looking for a Principal Product Marketing Manager to lead how we position and bring Intuit’s platform innovation to market. You’ll drive the strategic narratives and go-to-market (GTM) execution that connect our QuickBooks ecosystem, offering strategy, and platform transformation story to millions of customers. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, and execution — shaping how we communicate innovation, guide product launches, and activate multi-channel campaigns that inspire growth. You’ll partner across Product, Brand, Research, Strategic Communications, and GTM to craft research-backed narratives that define the future of our platform. You’ll move fast, navigate ambiguity, and collaborate deeply across teams — driving bold innovation while making a meaningful impact on our customers’ lives and livelihoods. At Intuit, you’ll help power prosperity for millions of customers by connecting innovation, empathy, and execution. You’ll work with inspired teams who lead with heart and data, driving growth that makes a measurable difference for small businesses everywhere. Responsibilities Shape the Platform Narrative: Lead the platform positioning narrative — the source of truth that informs GTM execution. Translate platform innovation into clear, inspiring customer-backed messaging in partnership with QuickBooks ecosystem product marketing teams. Evolve the Platform Messaging Playbook: Own and refine the Platform Messaging Hierarchy, defining how we position Intuit’s platform and merchandising innovation. Partner with Market Research, Content Design, and Product Marketing peers to ensure alignment with customer insights and business priorities. Drive GTM Release Strategy: Lead the major and minor GTM release strategy - bringing together the who (target audience), what (product launches), and why (customer pain points being solved) alongside the platform positioning and messaging narrative - as input to the GTM channel teams who will craft and execute the GTM releases. Drive Campaign Excellence: Lead quarterly prospecting campaigns that drive acquisition and engagement for the QuickBooks ecosystem. Define messaging strategy and “magic moments,” guide the integrated marketing team and agency partners, and ensure creative reflects product truths and customer insights. Partner with Brand: Collaborate with Brand on major campaigns. Ensure product marketing strategy and messaging hierarchy come through clearly in creative assets, product explainers, and brand storytelling. Lead Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build trusted relationships across GTM, Product, Design, and Strategic Comms to ensure seamless execution and consistent messaging across all touchpoints. Qualifications Experience & Expertise 12+ years in product marketing, go-to-market strategy, or related roles in SaaS, technology, or consumer marketing. Proven success leading product or platform positioning and executing large-scale integrated campaigns. Deep experience partnering with creative agencies, product design, and brand teams to deliver unified campaigns. Strong analytical skills — adept at using customer and market data to inform insights, positioning, and recommendations. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (MBA a plus). Leadership & Influence Leadership Presence: Confident communicator able to influence and align stakeholders across marketing, product, and executive levels (VP/SVP). Customer-Obsessed: Leads with insights and advocates for customer needs across the organization. Collaborative Leader: Thrives in cross-functional environments, bringing clarity and cohesion to complex initiatives. Strategic & Creative Thinking Storytelling: Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills — able to simplify complexity and craft narratives that inspire action. Analytical Mindset: Balances creative intuition with data-driven decision-making. Versatile Operator: Comfortable moving between strategy and execution, balancing long-term narrative evolution with short-term delivery. Curious and Bold: Embraces experimentation, challenges assumptions, and drives innovation grounded in insight.
