This role reports to the Director of Innovation and Client Value.Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain intelligent automation solutions that streamline operations, enhance client service delivery, and improve internal efficiencies. This role requires hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Power Platform technologies, as well as third-party automation tools.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & DevelopmentBuilds and maintains automation workflows using Microsoft Azure services (Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus, Data Factory)Develops solutions within the Power Platform environment (Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse)Integrates third-party RPA/automation platforms to extend automation capabilities.Integration & OrchestrationCreates robust integrations across diverse systems using APIs, scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python), and orchestration toolsEnsures seamless data flow and process automation across legal, financial, and operational systemsCollaboration & DeliveryWorks closely with business stakeholders, legal teams, and IT to understand requirements and deliver impactful automation solutionsTranslates business needs into technical specifications and scalable automation designsGovernance & OptimizationEnsures all solutions comply with firm-wide security, compliance, and governance standards.Monitors and optimizes automation performance, proactively identifying opportunities for improvementMaintains documentation and contributes to knowledge-sharing cultureQualificationsSkills & CompetenciesStrong Proficiency WithMicrosoft Azure (Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus, Data Factory)Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse)RPA tools (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism)Ability to successfully adapt to changing priorities and work demandsPosition also requires the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines, effectively prioritize multiple tasksMust have experience in working in a fast paced law firm environment with diverse needsExcellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skillsEducation & Prior ExperienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related fieldMinimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience in automation engineering or a related fieldExperience working in a legal or professional services environment is a plusTechnologyExperience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, JavaScript)Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration patternsUnderstanding of enterprise security, compliance, and governance frameworksThe Expected Pay Range For This Position Is$78,000 - $86,000 per yearActual pay will be adjusted based on experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Full time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, short term disability, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, 401K, vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program.
