The Site/Civil Design Engineer will develop plans, perform design calculations, and assist Team Lead with a variety of site/civil land development engineering projects in the Higher Education and Energy sectors. The Site/Civil Design Engineer will develop grading plans, erosion control plans, stormwater management plans and stormwater pollution prevention plans.ResponsibilitiesProvide technical expertise in site/civil design, hydrology/hydraulics, erosion and sedimentation control, and stormwater managementDesign and create site layout plans in alignment with client requirements and WSSI standardsUtilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop concept plans, grading plans, and site designsCollaborate with team members to ensure project objectives (scope, schedule, deliverables) are met in accordance with established metricsCoordinate permitting with Counties and local municipalitiesRequirementsPE PreferredBachelor’s degree in, civil engineering or related fieldMinimum of 4-10 years Site/Civil Design experiencePrior exposure to Higher Education and/or Energy sectors is idealProven experience with Virginia codes and regulations, interpreting plans, designing storm water facilities, site grading and permitting for land disturbanceDemonstrated knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3DDemonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple prioritiesAbility to provide excellent customer serviceExcellent written and verbal communication skills in a dynamic environmentStrong organizational, time management, attention to detail and analytical skillsAbility to work independently as well as in a team environment; offer constructive feedback and direction to support goalsAdditional InformationWhat We Offer:*Paid time off and paid holidaysOpportunities for advancement401(k) retirement savings plan with a company matchEmployee-owned company and discounted stock purchase optionsGroup Health PlanEmployee Referral Bonus Program: Send-A-FriendLocations throughout the United States in major cities and desirable areasCareer Development Program supported by industry expert safety specialists and skilled trainersThe Davey Tree Family Scholarship for children of employeesCharitable matching gift program*All listed benefits available to eligible employees.Company OverviewInvest in your future.
