Manager Rehab Services- Rehab Services Physical Therapy POSITION SUMMARYTo be fully engaged in providing No Harm / Quality, Customer Experience, and Stewardship by delivering exceptional healthcare in a customer-friendly environment while managing resources through a team approach. The individual is expected to understand and respond positively to changes present in the health care environment. Primary Accountabilities Provides staff development through mentoring, continuing education and advancement of responsibilities and peer education as appropriate. Achieves scores on the Gallup associate opinion survey reflecting either the top quartile compared to the Gallup database or above the mean score of the Health First overall aggregate. Performs annual performance reviews of all staff members and submits documentation in a timely manner. Quality/No Harm: Ensures that documentation meets established standards throughout the area by reviewing records regularly and providing education and counseling to correct deficiencies. Participates in identifying and defining opportunities for improving departmental performance, educating staff on such opportunities and gathering data for monitoring progress. Promotes the Rehab Services department and personal professional development by involvement in hospital, committee, professional association and/or community activities. Identifies, mediates and resolves disciplinary issues involving either individual staff members or work groups. Provides a forum for information distribution, discussion and feedback by organizing and conducting staff meetings on a regular basis with an established agenda. Represents the department as needed in the absence of the director. Customer Experience: Collaborates with other managers/supervisors to identify and resolve problems, coordinate staffing and maximize departmental effectiveness. Stewardship: Contributes to the development of annual budget for the area and achieves financial performance with a volume‑adjusted budget. Coordinates staffing across multiple sites, recognizing priorities and balancing availability of personnel against assessment of patient care needs. Qualifications Required Graduate of an accredited professional program. Master’s degree preferred and a minimum of 5 years’ experience. Licensed by the State of Florida. Demonstrates competence in the assigned area. Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to relate well with all customers. Prioritization and organizational skills that maximize quality, value, and service. Must hold a current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to start date and maintain it. Ability to conduct meetings and speak in front of groups. Understanding of Health Care Administration, including care trends and reimbursement issues. Professional growth through projects, program participation and attendance at educational programs. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to stand, walk, bend and stoop for up to 12 hours, generally with 2–3 short breaks. Visual acuity and hand–eye coordination required to perform clinical tasks. MENTAL DEMANDS: Problem solving skills, decision‑making skills, interaction with all people, program planning and implementation, handling multiple tasks efficiently, and effective communication at all levels.
