CNA/Caregiver - Generations at Oakton Arms, Des Plaines, Illinois - Part time, Weekend Shift

Generations at Oakton Arms in Des Plaines, Illinois has an Immediate Opening for a Compassionate CNA or Caregiver on our Assisted/Independent Living Floor.

Part Time Caregivers earn up to $18 per hour*

Part Time CNAs now earn up to $21 per hour*

Current Opening:

Part Time, Saturday/Sunday - either 6a-2p or 2p-10p

Responsibilities of the Caregiver/CNA:

  • Assist residents with personal care, including dressing, mobility, personal hygiene and meals
  • Monitor resident medications and update health charts
  • Maintain open communication between families and health care professionals regarding resident's medical and emotional condition
  • Document and report any changes in resident's health status
  • Ensure safety and well-being of each resident

Requirements

of the Caregiver/CNA:
  • High school Diploma or G.E.D. required
  • If CNA, certification must be current
  • First Aid and CPR Certification required
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English
  • Experience working with older adults preferred
  • Experience in a long-term care facility desirable
  • Must maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA Standards
  • Must have compassion, understanding and tolerance for older adults
