Medix is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant CMA for a primary care clinic in Garland, TX.

Responsibilities/ Job Duties:
  • Room patients following clinic standard weight/height, temperature, blood pressure, medication reconciliation, patient history, etc.
  • Administrative - handling in-basket messages, working in EPIC and EMR system.
  • Administer vaccines and injections
  • EKGS
  • Work 1:1 with provider to ensure efficient and high quality of patient care
  • Overall care of patients as they are seen by the provider
Schedule/ Shift:
  • M-F 7:45a-5:15p
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements:
  • Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA, AMT, NHA, ARMA, NCCT or NRCMA)
  • Current BLS (AHA)
  • Minimum 1 year in primary care
  • Athena experience a plus
