**Location:** Tooele, UT

**SUMMARY**

Welds metal components together with a variety of arc and gas welding equipment to fabricate or repair products such as hand box frames and covers, beams, grating and other miscellaneous products by performing the following duties.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

+ Promotes the culture, the mission and vision, and the core values of the company. This includes adherence to and promotion of the company safety beliefs, employee engagement, competencies, code of conduct, and other policies and procedures.

+ Welds metal parts together using both gas welding and any combination of arc welding processes

+ Performs related tasks such as thermal cutting, drilling, and grinding

+ Fabricating hand box frames and covers

+ Positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding

+ Drives forklift in sales yard

+ Assists with raw material inventory levels and communicates equipment requirements to supervisor

+ Promotes safety awareness, accident prevention, and employee involvement with regard to a safe work environment. Ensures employees understand the safety expectations of the organization.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

**LANGUAGE SKILLS**

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

**MATHEMATICAL SKILLS**

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to read a tape measure and understand fractions. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

**REASONING ABILITY**

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Fork Truck Drivers License
