Software Engineer


The Role:


We are seeking a Software Engineer with a passion for data and analytics The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in software development with expertise in React, Python and SQL, and experience with data visualization tools, database design and data management concepts. This team develop and maintains analytics software that helps the firm accurately track, analyze, audit and report on royalties, forecasts, returns, etc.


What you will do:

  • Develop, deploy, and maintain ETL pipelines to process and transform data from various sources.
  • Build internal tooling and front-end interfaces to allow non-technical stakeholders to interact with data processes.
  • Assist with the management and provisioning of cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform.
  • Monitor data pipelines to ensure efficiency and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
  • Contribute to data modeling and data warehouse design decisions on Google BigQuery.
  • Collaborate on the design and development of user-facing components and dashboards for data visualization.
  • Document ETL processes, data workflows, and technical specifications for future reference and knowledge sharing.
  • Work closely with data team members and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Proficiency with React, Angular, and/or Vue.js.
  • JavaScript experience
  • Experience with BI and data visualization platforms such as Looker and Tableau.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git/GitHub


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve coding and API-related issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • General interest in the entertainment, sports, and media landscape
  • Knowledge of financial systems and royalty payment structures.
  • Prior experience in a software development role focusing on analytics.
