We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional, empathetic care while handling all logistics so providers can focus solely on the patient.Position Summary:We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Part-Time Optometrist to join our mobile care team in Las Cruces, NM. This role is ideal for a provider looking to supplement their schedule with low-frequency work while making a meaningful impact in underserved communities.All administrative and logistical responsibilities—including equipment, supplies, scheduling, and billing—are fully managed by CMC. This is an independent contractor position, allowing you to focus entirely on patient care without the burdens of running a private practice.Key Responsibilities:Perform comprehensive eye exams and vision screeningsDiagnose and manage ocular conditionsPrescribe corrective lenses as neededEducate patients and/or facility staff on preventive eye careEnsure a respectful, safe, and comfortable environment tailored to geriatric needsQualifications:Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree with active New Mexico licenseExperience in geriatric or mobile care preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and adapt to facility-based care settingsSchedule:1–2 visits per monthWeekday availability preferredTypical hours: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM Ready to bring quality vision care to those who need it most—while keeping your flexibility?
