Retail Store Leader

The Retail Store Leader is responsible for driving sales performance and ensuring profitability while focusing on customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and the development of a high-performing team. Reports To: District Manager Supervises: Co-Manager, Assistant Manager, Key Holder, and Store Associates Key Responsibilities Team Development Recruitment & Retention: Actively network, recruit, hire, and nurture a talented team to create a supportive work environment and plan for future leadership. Performance Management: Establish clear annual goals, conduct performance appraisals, and guide the growth of all direct reports. Training & Development: Provide training and ongoing feedback in areas such as product knowledge, customer engagement, visual merchandising, and delivering impeccable customer service. Customer Experience Customer Service: Guarantee outstanding customer service at all times by regularly reviewing performance and coaching team members to enhance customer interactions. Leadership: Be present and engaged on the sales floor, ready to address customer inquiries and support sales initiatives. Visual Merchandising: Uphold visual merchandising guidelines, execute promotional displays, and ensure the sales floor and stockroom are clean and well-organized. Sales Growth & Profitability Sales Goals: Consistently achieve or surpass store profit targets related to sales, payroll, shrinkage, and conversion rates. Strategic Execution: Develop and implement strategies that boost store sales while managing expenses effectively. Operational Excellence Payroll Management: Adhere to all payroll guidelines to ensure efficient staffing. Loss Prevention: Protect company assets by following all loss prevention protocols. Policy Compliance: Ensure compliance with all organizational policies and operational procedures. Additional Duties Decision Making: Exercise sound judgment in all decisions. Communication: Maintain exceptional communication skills with team members and customers. Integrity & Respect: Demonstrate integrity and respect in all professional interactions. Adaptability: Adjust to the evolving needs of the business with flexibility. Multitasking: Efficiently manage multiple tasks at once. Other Duties: Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications A minimum of two years experience in a store management role, with a proven record of achieving sales and profit goals while developing team members. Comfort and proficiency with personal computers and detailed report analysis. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Ability to lift heavy items exceeding 30 pounds. Willingness and ability to stand for extended periods, up to eight hours during scheduled shifts.
