About Newark Country Club Founded in 1921, Newark Country Club is a private, full-service club located on West Main Street in Newark, Delaware. Members enjoy access to a variety of golf programs, including private lessons and organized tournaments throughout the season. The club offers several membership categories designed to meet the needs of individuals and families alike. Golf Memberships provide unlimited rounds and full club access, while Social Memberships offer use of the clubhouse, dining facilities, pool, and limited golf privileges. The clubhouse serves as a social hub for members, featuring three distinct dining rooms, a spacious outdoor deck, and the welcoming 19th Hole lounge. Whether for a casual meal after a round or an elegant dinner, the dining venues are designed to accommodate both relaxed and formal gatherings. Newark Country Club also serves as a popular venue for private events and celebrations, including weddings, business meetings, anniversaries, and memorial gatherings. The club’s ballroom can host up to 150 guests and includes amenities such as tables, chairs, linens, and the support of a dedicated day‑of coordinator to ensure every occasion runs smoothly. During the summer months, members enjoy the club’s pool facility, which provides a relaxed and family‑friendly environment. The pool area includes a baby pool, lifeguard staff, and a snack bar offering food and beverage service. Both golf and social members have access to the pool, reinforcing the club’s family-oriented atmosphere. Newark Country Club’s history is one of tradition, resilience, and community spirit.
