Overview The Housekeeping Houseperson supports the housekeeping team by maintaining cleanliness in public areas, assisting with guest requests, and ensuring that housekeeping supplies, linens, and equipment are available and ready for use. This role plays an important part in delivering a clean, welcoming, and comfortable environment for guests. Pay Rate $20.35 #towncountrySD Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness and order in all public spaces, including hallways, restrooms, lobbies, and service areas Deliver linens, towels, and guest supplies to housekeeping attendants and guest rooms as needed Collect soiled linens and trash from designated areas and transport them to laundry or disposal locations Ensure housekeeping closets and storage areas are stocked, organized, and clean Assist with deep cleaning projects such as carpet shampooing, window washing, and furniture moving Respond promptly to guest requests or questions and provide courteous service Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged items to the housekeeping supervisor Follow hotel policies regarding health, safety, and sanitation Qualifications Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial work preferred Ability to work on feet for extended periods and lift or move items up to 50 lbs Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team Flexible schedule availability, including weekends and holidays Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
