This includes all positions within the assembly, sub-assembly, andcomponent build work centers.JOBRESPONSIBILITIES:• Relieving production positions, perform various job assignments that may changedaily, operating various light and heavy industrial machinery• Maintaining safe work areas, cleaning industrial equipment and workstations• Keep immediate supervisor informed when and if additional help is needed toperform responsibilities• Always follow all safety rules and report any safety hazard to immediatesupervisor• Learn and retain skills and practices needed to complete assembly in variousassigned areas• Apply feedback or instructions from Supervisor and/or Team Lead, as needed• Complete proper forms and documentation (example: defective tags, build book,etc.)• Understand, and be able to articulate, the production flow of an assignedproduct line or area• Self-check work and inspect prior processes• Use basic hand, electric, cordless, and pneumatic tools, as required• Meet production goals• Initiate process improvements• Support 5S in work area• Communicate with manufacturing and other cross-functional teams (engineering,materials, purchasing, sales, etcetera) to resolve issues• Solve problems with minimal assistanceWhat you need to be successful:QUALIFICATIONS:• HS Diploma or GED required• A minimum of 12 months manufacturing experience preferred• Excellent attendance• Positive attitude• Strong and consistent attention to detail• Self-motivated with the ability to stay on task• Team oriented• Capable of comprehensive listening (understanding the message(s) that is beingcommunicated)• Ability to use air and electric powered tools suchas drills, hammer drills, torque wrenches (powered and unpowered), air tools(such as rivet guns, air drills, air hammers) and huck guns• Ability to use ladders, enter and exit trucks,reaching, bending, twisting, squatting, working below knees or above shoulders• Basic computer skills are required• Willing to: oLearn and rotate within all areas and plants (production or materials) oImprove self / area / company (including pursuing additional training, ifneeded) oDevelop a working knowledge of company's systems (example: AS/400)• Able to: oLift 50 pounds oWork overtime on short notice oEmbrace changeWhy The Shyft Group?We believe that when our people thrive personally and professionally, our business thrives.
