Roles & Responsibilities:

The CDL Class A Driver is responsible for loading and transporting materials from the manufacturing plants to the job site in a safe and efficient manner.

Position Summary:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Drive a truck rated over 26,001 lb.
  • Operate a dump or flat bed with the possibility of an attached forklift.
  • Ensures correct loading of products onto vehicle.
  • Assists with loading, safely securing and delivering factory framed cartridges from Kent St. warehouse to jobsite.
  • Deliver product to various delivery locations.
  • Unloads product at job site when necessary.
  • Determine condition of vehicle by inspecting vehicle before and after use.
  • Responsible for completing daily driver logs.
  • Responsible for maintaining an updated knowledge base of DOT regulations.
  • Responsible for following all DOT regulations.
  • Maintains a safe vehicle and conditions and protects load by complying with organization policies and procedures and highway rules and regulations.
  • Responsible for reporting any vehicle damage and repairs.
  • Responsible for meeting driver MVR requirements
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Must possess a Class A CDL driver license.
  • Must meet company driving record requirements.
  • Must provide current Motor Vehicle Record.
  • Must pass all preemployment screenings and backgrounds.
  • Must provide a valid medical certificate.
Other Essential Skills/Qualifications:
  • Education/Credentials: High school diploma or its equivalent preferred
  • Forklift training
  • 1-2 years previous experience
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Proven ability to apply math, writing, and language skills

  • Base Salary: $28.00-$31.00 per hour (Pay is commensurate with experience, education, training, and skills)
