Skyline Products has designed and manufactured sign solutions for the transportation and petroleum industries for more than 40 years We are an essential business and we are currently recruiting for a Welder Helper for our day shift.Monday through Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.Compensation $17 - $18 an hourThis is a temp to hire position.Job Summary:Attending on-site safety meetings. Maintaining cleanliness of work areas. Assisting welders to set up rigs and move them between work areas. Ensuring welders have required materials and tools available, such as rods and grinding discs. Maintaining stock levels of materials and supplies.Job Responsibilities:Attending on-site safety meetingsMaintaining cleanliness of work areasAssisting welders to set up rigs and move them between work areasEnsuring welders have required materials and tools available, such as rods and grinding discsMaintaining stock levels of materials and suppliesLoading and unloading trucksFollowing welders' instructions to adjust welding machine temperaturesEmploying buffers and grinders to clean weldsMaintaining knowledge of various types of metalOperating various tools and types of equipmentIdentifying safety risks and hazards, and complying with relevant safety procedures and regulationsQualifications:6+ months work experience in a similar roleProficient knowledge of all aspects of weldingBasic English reading and writing skillsPhysically strong, agile and dexterousAbility to work in a standing position for extended hoursResilient to working in adverse climatic conditionsCompensation: $17 - $18Skyline Products is an Equal Opportunity Employer; all decisions are made without regard to race, color, religion, creed, gender, national origin, age, disability, marital or veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other legally protected status.
