Chief Engineer Glacier Fish Company Base pay range $240,000.00/yr - $285,000.00/yr Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site role working on a Commercial Fishing Vessel in Seattle, WA. The Chief Engineer is responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance and operation of all ship engineering systems, provides leadership and technical expertise to engineering staff, and upholds all vessel, company, and required safety regulations. Responsibilities Maintain and operate ship engineering systems safely and efficiently. Provide leadership and technical expertise to engineering staff. Uphold all vessel, company, and required safety regulations. Qualifications Must hold an appropriate U.S. Coast Guard Chief Engineer license for an uninspected fishing vessel, 6600HP. Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering Operations from an accredited Maritime Academy preferred. 3+ years of experience as a Chief Engineer onboard a fishing vessel preferred. Work 12 hrs/day for 7 days/week in all weather conditions. Self‑motivated team player. Understand instructions and safety rules in English. Must provide 2 recent positive references from previous employers. Capable of climbing and descending steep stairs and vertical ladders. Share spaces with others including crew quarters, dining areas, and bathrooms.
