Quality Lead

Overview The Quality Lead at the Saybrook isostatic refractories plant plays a pivotal role in ensuring product consistency, managing the ISO9001 quality management system, and collaborating cross-functionally to resolve issues. Reporting to the Quality and Technical Manager for multiple plants, the Quality Lead guides a team of technicians and contributes to strategic plant decisions. What You’ll Do Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company safety protocols and regulations. Lead and maintain ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 systems. Conduct internal audits and coordinate external certifications. Analyze process data to identify trends and reduce product variation. Collaborate with production, technical, and customer-facing teams to resolve quality issues. Supervise and develop quality technicians, promoting a culture of accountability. Report on key quality metrics and contribute to plant-wide strategic decisions. What You Bring Minimum 5 years in manufacturing or quality assurance, preferably in isostatic or pressed refractories. Experience with ISO systems, statistical process control, and CAPA. Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or related field preferred. Proficiency in MS Office and quality software tools. Fluent in English; additional languages a plus.
