You must have a valid drivers license be able to pass a drug screen and background check. If this sounds like the position for you please apply on our company website Under our Portland location at www.autowc.comEssential DutiesCoordinate defective parts with designated partyDrive vehicles to designated areasFollow all safety guidelines and attend safety meetingsHand wash vehicles (as needed)Installing front bumper protectionKeep Leads, Managers, and others informed of any significant issuesLoad right hand drive vehicles through the car wash.Log processed work into computer program or tracking system as requiredMeet or exceed established production and quality standardsOperating cardboard compactorPerforming duties associated with old age vehicles.Performs job in a safe mannerRemove and replace wrap guardThis position may also place non installed accessories in vehicles.Visually verifies that vehicle is damage freeWork as part of a teamAble to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assignedAdditional ResponsibilitiesAttend meetings as requiredCommunicate problems to Lead or SupervisorDaily clean upKeep tools maintained and secureNotify supervisor of any workplace hazards or unsafe conditionsParticipate in facility safety efforts by attending monthly safety meetings, report accidents and injuries on appropriate forms, and communicates the procedure to all appropriate customers/vendors and AWC personnelRead, understand, and utilize VIN numbers, repair orders, purchase orders, purge sheets, and other documents to complete workUnderstand policies, including but not limited to company safety policiesUpkeep and maintenance of work areaWork with limited supervisionOther duties assignedGeneral DescriptionThis position executes light labor including but not limited to cleanliness of vehicles, operating cardboard compactor, throw-in accessories, and various duties as assignedMinimum Tools NeededKeys, pens, pencils, various toolsComputers, scanners, and computer systemsPPE provided, including but not limited to ergonomic protection, hearing protection, back support, safety glasses, and gloves (impact and no impact)Working ConditionsWork is performed in groups/teams both inside and outsideChemicals Involved WithAlkaline BatteriesAnti-freezeBrake fluidCitrus-based cleanersIsopropyl AlcoholMotor OilPetroleum/gasRefrigerantTranny oilVarious adhesivesVarious cleaning suppliesWindshield washer fluidMinimum RequirementsAbility to adhere to strict production and quality standards without varianceAbility to communicate diplomaticallyAbility to function effectively under pressureAbility to interact with others effectively; work as a team; good interpersonal skillsAbility to judge distancesAbility to keep confidential any work documents seen or conversations heard during performance of job dutiesAbility to pass driver's safety test at 80% or betterAbility to read and understand MSDSAbility to stand, walk, and work outdoors in all weather conditionsAbility to write, read, and comprehend basic EnglishAble to drive both standard and automatic automobilesAble to lift 40 poundsBasic computer skillsFollow directions, both written and verbalGood visual abilityMechanical aptitudePositively represent AWCStrong attention to detailUnderstand Company and Customer requirementsValid driver's licenseAuto Warehousing Company, including its subsidiaries, is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, gender, age, veteran status, political affiliation, sexual orientation, marital status or disability (in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act) with respect to employment opportunities.
