Job Overview: As a Medical Laboratory Technologist, you will play a vital role within our clinical laboratory team, reporting to the Laboratory Director. Your responsibilities will include performing a range of laboratory tests, ensuring precise results, and upholding the highest standards of quality control.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct laboratory tests according to established protocols and accurately record results.
Assess specimen validity and take appropriate actions if a specimen is deemed unsuitable.
Notify clients of required specimen recollection procedures if necessary.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with laboratory equipment.
Verify test results and ensure proper matching with patient specimens.
Organize and label test samples for efficient retrieval and documentation.
Qualifications:
Degree in Medical Technology (MLT / MT) or related field from an accredited institution (Associate's or Bachelor's).
ASCP certification or eligibility for certification.
Proficient in laboratory procedures, equipment handling, and quality control techniques.
Experience in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting is preferred.
Familiarity with laboratory information systems and computer applications.
