In this role, you will oversee daily nursing operations, guide staff, and ensure that residents receive the highest standard of care. The Unit Manager will work closely with the Director and Associate Director of Nursing to maintain compliance with all state, federal, and facility regulations while fostering a positive and supportive work environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Director and Associate Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing unit operations.Supervise nursing staff and ensure adherence to professional and facility standards.Lead and participate in government surveys and inspections.Develop, update, and monitor residents’ individualized care plans.Conduct annual evaluations for LPNs and CNAs; oversee hiring, training, counseling, and disciplinary actions.Communicate with physicians, families, and nursing leadership regarding resident care and concerns.Ensure proper staffing levels to maintain safe, quality care.Make daily rounds, monitor nursing care delivery, and provide ongoing feedback.Address and resolve staff grievances in a timely manner.Welcome and orient new residents to the unit.Attend daily morning reports and contribute to Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement initiatives.Monitor medication passes and treatments; verify documentation accuracy.Complete resident assessments and MDS within required timeframes.Investigate and document incidents/accidents; enforce abuse-prevention policies.Monitor new admissions and re-admissions, working to reduce unnecessary hospitalizations.Collaborate with Social Services on discharge planning.Oversee narcotic counts, emergency equipment checks, and supply inventories.Review lab results and promptly communicate abnormal findings to providers.QualificationsCurrent, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State (unencumbered).Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or related healthcare setting.At least 6 months of experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.BenefitsComprehensive Medical & Dental CoverageGenerous Paid Time Off (PTO)401(k) Retirement PlanEmployee Recognition ProgramSupportive, team-oriented work environmentCompany perks and employee discountsJoin Our Team TodayIf you are a motivated nursing professional with proven leadership skills and a passion for resident-centered care, we want to meet you Apply today to take the next step in your career as a Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager at Seagate Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Brooklyn, NY.IND123 #J-18808-Ljbffr
