Responsibilities

  • Under the supervision of the OR Scheduling Coordinator and/or Dir. of Physician Affairs, screen interview, counsel and provide direct patient care.
  • Document all clinical observations, findings and services provided in the patient’s electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Report all abnormal observations and findings to the appropriate medical provider in a timely manner verbally or via Skype.
  • Schedule Endoscopy procedures
  • Data entry
  • Track pathology results
  • Responsible for retrieving appropriate laboratory, diagnostic and radiology reports as requested.
  • Assist in transporting paperwork, and other materials between sites when appropriate.
  • Review Rx, Results and Office voice mail folders daily and the, Scheduling/ physician pools, daily for tasks, follow-ups as assigned.
  • Communicate with clinical, clerical, and managerial staff to provide continuity of patient care.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Associates, High School Diploma, or GED equivalent preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in ambulatory setting (emergency room, clinic or health center).

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant/Medical Technologist school/program and holds a valid Certificate of Completion
