Medical Director, Academic Faculty Opportunity

AdventHealth Graduate Medical Education in Orlando, Florida is looking for a dynamic, hardworking, and broadly skilled Family Medicine physician with a passion for teaching to serve as our Medical Director. This Medical Director would serve as one of the key faculty members in an academic role within the Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency Program. He or she would focus on the outpatient clinic, own a patient panel, while teaching our residents and medical students.Faculty ResponsibilitiesThe physician's duties will include his or her own personal family medicine clinic, precepting residents and medical students, giving didactic lectures, constructing curriculum and evaluating residents and medical students. There is an opportunity to incorporate OMM into both clinical care and teaching.Medical Director ResponsibilitiesOversight of the outpatient clinic, ensuring quality metrics are being met, education on quality metrics and how to improve, implementation of quality improvement projects with the residents, etc.Requirements: At least two years of experience in academic medicine Experience as a Medical Director preferred but not required demonstrate leadership capabilities strong communication skills fit within the mission and vision of AdventHealth Bilingual in Spanish is preferred, but not necessaryThis well-established ACGME Accredited Family Medicine Residency with Osteopathic Recognition is based at AdventHealth East Orlando, a 293 bed facility that is part of one of the largest healthcare systems in the country.
