Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) responsible for all activities associated with the administration of either mainframe or distributed computerized databases. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Oracle Database administration and limited exposure to IBM Distributed DB2 platforms. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, maintain, and monitor databases to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Develop, document, and implement guidelines, standards, and procedures for database management.
  • Maintain database dictionaries and ensure the integration of systems through effective database design.
  • Perform regular database backups, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Monitor database performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to optimize performance.
  • Ensure data security and integrity by implementing appropriate security measures.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database-related issues.
  • Stay updated with the latest database technologies and best practices.
  • Environment: Oracle, DB2, SQL, Agile, and more


Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in Oracle Database administration.
  • Experience with IBM Distributed DB2.
  • Strong understanding of database design, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing database guidelines, standards, and procedures.
  • Experience with database performance monitoring and optimization.
  • Ability to work on-call during a hurricane emergency.
