Edwards College of Dental Medicine (JBECDM) is recruiting a Program Director for a new Rural General Practice Residency (GPR) Program in the Pee Dee region of South Carolina.Position DetailsLocation: Department of Biomedical and Community Health, JBECDM, MUSCSites: Main clinic in Florence, SC, with smaller clinics in Marion and Lake City, SCResponsibilitiesManage all aspects of clinical training for residentsDevelop and implement curriculumEvaluate program content, faculty, and resident performanceOversee off-site rotations and maintain education recordsHandle resident recruitment, interviews, and selectionEnsure program compliance with CODA standardsAdditional DutiesProvide clinical leadership and oversee dental operationsMentor and supervise dental staff, conduct performance reviewsManage program and clinic budgets, monitor financial and clinical goalsDidactic and Clinical InstructionThe Program Director will oversee virtual didactic courses, weekly seminars, literature reviews, and case conferences. They will also manage resident schedules, serve as an attending faculty, and build referral networks.Minimum QualificationsDMD, DDS, or equivalent degree; eligible for South Carolina licensureCompletion of GPR or AEGD programApplication includes a letter of interest, CV, and two professional referencesTime AllocationProgram Administration: 20%Clinical Instruction: 50%Didactic Instruction: 10%Professional Development: 10%Service/Outreach: 5%Other Duties: 5%Additional InformationSalary and rank depend on qualifications and experience.
